In Slope Stars, players take on the role of snowboarders competing in the annual Six Slopes Tournament where we will descend down 6 different mountains, each one more perilous than the last. After after 6 rounds, the player with the most points is awarded the title of Slope Star and wins the game!
During the game, players will be drafting a Maneuver card, which has either a Red, Blue, Yellow, or Black snowboard icon. The card you choose indicates which path of the Mountain you will descend down. Players will be drafting 3 different cards this way as they trace lines down their mountain, collecting Resource Symbols and performing Tricks.
At the end of your descent, combine Tricks to create Signature Moves, scoring extra Victory Points. Any Resource Symbols collected have boosted your special skill track, unlocking new Abilities to use on future turns. After each player has calculated their points, you will erase your path down the mountain then fill in Hazards on your board.
As Hazards are added, players must think strategically about which resources are worth grabbing, and which are better to avoid – sailing through a Hazard gives that player an Injury, which will lose them points at the end of the game. Do you have what it takes to earn the title of Slope Star?
